11 May (Sunday) - Mother's day. My cousin Katelyn was borned in HK. Her mami is my mami's sister!
12 May (Monday) - An earthquake hit Sichuan Province at 2:28 pm Beijing Time Monday, at a destructive scale of 8 on the Richter calculations. That is 8:28am Central Europe Time.
Not due to the earthquake but just that I want to see my mami's face sooner than how it was planned (original plan was 22 June). The membrane and water that has been protected me for more than 8 months has been broken and leaked out at 9.30pm. Mami and Papi were not sure if it is really rupturing of membrane. Mami thought that may be she cannot hold her pee pee well in the later stage of pregnancy.. Silly mami. When there were more and more of these 'pinklish pee pee', it is clear that they should go to the hospital.
13 May (Tuesday). Due to some reason, I want to stay in this nice and warm environment for one more day. At 9.30pm, that is 24 hours after the membrane ruptured, there is some sign of labour (may be 4 times an hour), so the doctor said there is no need to induce labour with medication. Doctor estimated that I will only be borned the earliest next morning. Therefore Mami sent Papi home as he slept only few hours since the ruptured of the membrane. Mami will need his support during the labour tomorrow morning! He must have the energy!!
** 14 May (Wednesday)**. Only two and an half hour after the check from the doctor. Mami realized that the labour came every 5-8 minutes, though they were not yet so painful. And the cervix only opened for 1cm (I need it as 10cm opened ! My head is not small, 1cm does not fit). So the midwife still estimated the birth will only be after 8am tomorrow. Mami didn't call Papi.
The same story happen until 4am, the cervix's opening was still 1cm in diameter, but Mami's pain was ever increasing since 12midnight. Suddenly, at 5am, Mami feel the differences in the way the uterus contract!! It started to push!!! So, she pushed the red button to call the midwife, when the midwife came, they confirmed that the cervix's opening has dilated to 10cm!!! I am ready to come out!!!!! Midwife are surprised that the cervix dilated within one hour from 1cm to 10cm. At this point, Mami called Papi. Papi should be here to see my first appearance in this world!!! At 5.30am, Papi arrived. 5:40pm, I was borned !! Papi cut my umbilical cord. He complained about how rubbery and tough to cut. Silly Papi, it is a tough 'tube' that supported me for the last 8 months, it must be 'heavy duty' !
I was born with 2.18kg (4lb 12oz) and 44cm in body length. Those size 50cm clothes that Mami bought will fit me longer than she thought.
