How to start?

More than a month that there is no new post in this blog. Many things happened in between, too many photos and small videos to sort out. Too many stories waiting to be told. Where and how to put them down is a big challenge. Perhaps it won't happen.

We were back to Hong Kong from 1-15 Jan. We took direct flight from Frankfurt to Hong Kong. Alyssa was sleeping quite well when we drove from Dusseldorf to Frankfurt, which took us 2 hours.

It was Alyssa first flight in her life. Let's take a photo of this 'first time'.

We have booked a baby basket for Alyssa, that she seems to like quite well at the beginning.

However, she slept in total perhaps only 2 hours in that basket, for the rest of the time, she needed help to calm down or to fall asleep. I used also several time my ultimate 'weapon' (nursing) to put her to sleep. We felt sorry for the passengers next to us.

This trip proves that baby books are very right when they said it is very tough to let a overtired baby to sleep. After the 11-hour flight, Alyssa got maximum 4 hour sleep and Mami thought that if she could sleep on the car from airport to Auntie Wendy's home, then she could catch up some of her sleep. However, she couldn't and she became more and more cranky until at one a point that 18 hours has passed and this little baby of 7 months old only had 4 hours sleep in total (instead of the usual 12 hours during that time of the day). At the end, Mami had to carry Alyssa in the Babybjörn (a baby carrier) and left the loud restaurant (where we met GungGung, Por Por, Uncles, Auntie and cousins) and 'force' Alyssa to get some sleep.

It was tough!
