Sleep tight sing light, baby

From around month 9 onwards, it was pretty easy to put Alyssa to sleep/nap and she could sleep through the night. Her usual schedule these days is sleeping from 9pm to 8:30am and then another 2 hours of nap from 1:00 - 3:00pm.

Last night, Papi put her down to sleep after a short story/review about what she has done today at the usual 9pm. Papi left her room and she was quiet and Mami and Papi assumed that she was sleeping. 45 minutes later, suddenly Mami and Papi heard a singing voice. It was from Alyssa's room. Alyssa was singing in her crib !!! She sang for half an hour.... and then she fell back asleep by herself. Alyssa was so good in handling sleeping and falling back to sleep. Hope this will continue !!

媽咪 ?? and 借借 ?? - Banguage interpretation

Alyssa's lexicon:

媽咪 means HELP in general!! In this video clip, she was requesting Papi to talk about the pictures from the book. At the beginning, Mami thought it is another way that Alyssa called her (other than 媽媽), but after many times that she said 媽咪 to Papi too. It is clear that it means HELP.

借借 means 車車. The pronunciation was not accurate. She wanted to say that there could be 車車 and the baby should hold daddy's hand for safety. (that was how Mami always told her about that page, she remembered that).

Stacking up LEGO

Mami bought Alyssa a set of LEGO (Duplo) last Christmas. She hadn't the skill to put them together until today. Good job !! Finally, LEGO will be played in the way it was designed for :-) (not just disassemble it after Mami/Papi put them together nor pour all of them out from the box and put them back it)

1st time using chopsticks (learner chopsticks)

After knowing that cousin Katie can use chopsticks very skillfully already. Mami took out the learning chopsticks that she has bought a month ago and let Alyssa try.

After some encouragements and guidances. Alyssa could pick up the O-shaped cereal (which is indeed not so easy for beginner).

After Alyssa was done with the first batch of cereals, Mami gave her another batch and this time rasins were added to another bowl. Raisins seemed to be much easier to pick up with chopsticks. Alyssa improved a lot from her first round of chopsticks using and this round it seemed much better.
